I'm happy to see how I improve and teach myself about the 3D Modelling process.

                                          Rare Fish 'Blup'

I named the fish Blup, a mythical and rare creature that is difficult to catch. According to legend, feeding Blup brings good luck, but consuming it brings bad luck. The name Blup is a combination of the color blue and the sound a fish makes underwater - 'bloop bloop'.

I am pleased with the final results of this personal 3D project. Sculpting the fish in Zbrush allowed me to achieve the exact shape I had envisioned, which kept me motivated throughout the process. After creating the high-resolution fish model, I used Decimation Master to reduce the polygon count and exported it to Maya for the low-resolution retopologized version. I then created UV maps and baked them (high-resolution/low-resolution) in Substance Painter. Finally, I applied the textures I had created to the 'Rare Fish' in Maya.

3D Fish Creation Process

First, I sculpted the fish I had imagined in Zbrush. Then, I used Decimation Master to reduce the polygon count while preserving the high-resolution details, making the retopology process smoother and free of lags in Maya.

After retopologizing the model, the next step was to unwrap the maps in the UV editor. Although I colored all parts of the fish individually, in retrospect, I could have grouped some parts together on the same UV map to save time.

In the third picture of the UV maps, I gathered all the maps into one UV editor to provide a comprehensive view. I used Substance 3D Painter to bake the high and low resolutions of the fish model, and then created and applied the textures in Maya.
