In the year 2100, the population of Poland had shifted significantly, with most people moving to Warsaw and the surrounding areas for better opportunities and resources. This mass migration left many other major cities, including Poznań, struggling to survive.

In an effort to revitalize the city and bring in revenue, local officials began a controversial initiative to create a breeding center for cyborgs in Poznań, with the historic Hotel Bałtyk serving as the main facility. While some saw this as a bold and innovative move, many others felt threatened by the idea of advanced machines taking away their jobs and livelihoods.

Tensions eventually boiled over, and a violent uprising erupted in Poznań. The protesters, led by a group of radical anti-cyborg activists, attacked the city and destroyed much of its infrastructure, including Hotel Bałtyk. The destruction was devastating, and Poznań was left in ruins, its once-promising future dashed.

In the aftermath of the attack, the remaining citizens of Poznań struggled to rebuild their shattered lives amidst the ruins. Some tried to salvage what they could of the old world, while others embraced the new era of cyborgs and technology, hoping to find a way forward in this rapidly changing landscape.
