I used ZBrush to 3D model the anatomy of an arm using Discobolus as a reference.

I started off with an un-sculpted arm and torso base mesh. I used various brushes to follow the reference photos and sculpt an identical statue. The most difficult part was making the muscles of the arm. I had to follow real anatomy of course, so continuously rotating my model while attempting to accurately portray a real arm was very difficult. I was able to overcome this with patience and attention to detail. I think the shoulder muscle ended up looking awesome.
