With this project, I wanted to explore the workflow of using 3D to create concepts by using an old creature idea I had. I have created three models of the creature, a female adult, a puppy, and a newborn. First I started with an adult creature, modeled, textured, and posed the creature in Zbrush, then I went to Substance Painter to add more texture details, lighting, and materials. Rendered out several passes from Zbrush and Substance and put them all together in Photoshop. Then I created the puppies using the adult version's model.

I also decided to add more worldbuilding around the creature in a form of researcher's notes.

For this little critter, I have combined two dog breeds, Yorkshire Terrier and Dachshund, lizards, geckos, and otters... to try and come up with an adorable soup of a creature. 

It went through an ideation process where I finish a piece, don't like how it came out, but loved the idea behind it so I try again.
