Grimm The Reaper - 2D VTUBER MODEL RIG AND CREATION.

My original concept for this project was creating a Virtual 2D model that can be used for streaming via motion capture and computer graphics. This required many steps over the course of the weeks, such as creating my own character, figuring out how to layer each piece of the body accordingly (including colouring and shading), then learning a whole new software to rig the model. Through trials and tribulations, there were many points of this project where I believed this would be a simple character design with an expression page made to eventually be rigged. After creating over a dozen layers for my model and switching to clipstudio paint, it seemed as if there was no other option than to scrap the rigging process entirely. At the end of it all, I managed to get to the point of rigging and was able to create a simple rigging for motion capture. The whole process started from character creation, layering, and grouping to rigging dozens of parts in Live2D such as the eye blinking, eyebrow position and angle, face movement xyz, etc. The rigging process alone took several hours but is able to work through using a simple web camera.
