This was SUCH a fun project to do. I decided to try recreating my 3D portrait in a similar style to Animal Crossing. Since I was making a full character, I also experimented with rigging and animation. Everything is certainly very rough, but hey - it's my first shot at it!

Self Portrait REDUX
I decided to take another stab at creating a "self portrait" of myself. I wanted to see how far I had come from the beginning of the year, and I think I've learned a lot! I also used this as an opportunity to experiment with rigging and attempting to do very basic character animations. The animations are very rough to say the least, but I had an absolute BLAST animating my character.
I will absolutely be rigging every character model I make in the future. It makes life so much easier!
