Concept
Nihal is my sorcesona from the universe of The Key to Cygnus. After my friend gave me that I'd have Moon Powers I've been trying to come up with the design.
The idea was to make the party outfit that reflected Moon Magic and also my personality. Short hair, long fairy/medieval dresses dresses, silver and my favorite shades of blue.
The Process
In the following process view you can see the development through all the stages: sketch, lineart, flat colours and render.
Details
- The makeup: the face paint reflects the phases of the moon,
- Constellations: all of them have a meaning, my OCs (Original Characters) are represented by Aquila, Lyra and Cygnus. I'm represented by Lepus (where the name Nihal comes from) and Gemini. Finally, Taurus has a lot of emotional weight to me.
- Bio-luminescence: something that has always awed me and I really wanted to incorporate in the drawing.
