Little Mouse

In this project we had to create an original character from zero who lives in a modern city full of animals, like in Disney movie "Zootopia". The entirety of this project was made in Adobe Photoshop.

Here is the full creation process:

First thing is always the brainstorm and thumbnail state. Different outcomes for the character, his personality, etc. Then the references for the design and some sketches of my favoutite versions of this character.

Once I choose the final design, I tried different versions of clothes and glasses: different shapes, styles, ...

After that was the colouring process. I decided it would look better with just flat colours and some shadows and lightning. These are some different colour palettes that I used.

Then, finally, I did some action poses and expressions so it would add and show more of his personality.

This was a really fun project and was really excited to try a more 2d animation style to a character. Here is the final result:
