Hello, good morning, today I am going to tell you about my time in the internships, I was in the Lynx project as a Freelance, first of all I think it would be interesting to tell you about the lynx project itself, it seeks to integrate augmented reality in psychology studies, seeking to help people with anxiety problems and compulsive impulsive disorder.
The main idea of the project was to expose patients to stimuli through virtual reality while collecting data from the same person, pulsations and brain stimuli. To be more effective, the stimulus was sought to make a series of customizable monsters, because in theory when you customize an avatar, its changes affect you more, since you have created a link with it during customization. My role in all of this was to design a series of monsters with customization elements that would vary in appearance so that I could experiment on patients.
I am going to show you the concepts that I created for the same project
lizard monster concept
This was the original concept, a creature similar to a squirrel was sought, after a meeting with the psychologists with whom we worked, it was decided to make a completely different version and with a more cartoony art, for the final design we were inspired a little in the pokemon charmander
octopus monster concept
dragon monster concept
spider monster concept
This was the first design of the spider, looking for it to appear more pleasant and enhancing its aggressiveness on the other hand
golem monster concept
warm monster concept rejected
this was one of the concepts that was rejected in the end, since the psychologists argued that it was not very interesting
