Year 2150. After having continually exploited, polluted and disfigured our planet's resources, ignoring the signals sent by the planet itself, humanity has practically halved.

The remaining groups of humans are mainly nomadic or located in new cities that are spread through all of the so-called "safe zones".

Assembly points, elevated and built so that they were able to resist the various climatic changes, called "Elevation Gates" where refugees can shelter.

A gargantuan hurricane has displaced a ferry-boat used to transport people from Orcas Island, in Washington State, to the forest extending from the former Pitt Lake to Stave Lake. After the landing, the ship has been repaired in order to be used as a refuge by the groups of people fleeing Vancouver and the other nearby cities that have been devastated by tidal waves and the hurricane itself. This location is 260 km from the closest safe Elevation Gate.

Born in Blane, in the state of Washington, she ran from the town 6 years priors taking refuge in north Aldegrove, one of the few cities that escaped the tsunami. She lived in a makeshift shelter inside an abandoned shopping center, waiting to be rescued by her family who went lost during the chaos of their escape. After surviving alone and having trained herself physically, she gathered useful information from other survivors and has decided to leave the shelter she had for the last few years to venture northeast, to the Elevation Gate of Kamloos. After gathering supplies and items for self-defense, she leaves towards the mountains, sleeping outside until she reached to the abandoned ferryboat in the forest where she is forced to take refuge longer than she anticipated, for 23 days, due to a snowstorm that seems not to decrease in intensity.
