Assassin Mole-Rat (Reposted as Project)
I made "Assassin Mole-Rat" during a 20 day school assignment. My goal was to translate a 2D concept to 3D, as well as making it game ready. This is the first time I've gone through the entire process of making a game ready character. Original 2D concept by Justin Gerard.
Based on the awesome concept "Assassin Mole-Rat" by Justin Gerard : https://www.artstation.com/artwork/ybx9R5
I made "Assassin Mole-Rat" during a 20 day school assignment. My goal was to translate a 2D concept to 3D, as well as making it game ready.
This is the first time I've gone through the entire process of making a game ready character with animation, PBR texturing, and normal-map baking. Everything (including the swords) was UV-mapped to fit a single 4k texture map.
The most challenging part was trying to figure out the right anatomy and materials for the character since I just had one reference picture.
Total triangle count (including swords): 61 753
