Medieval mortair
In this project I show a concept I made on a mortar with a medieval setting.
Medieval mortar concept
Here I show a model and texturing I made of a medieval mortar. At the time of texturing I have taken as a model how the mortars that were used in the old ships looked with the passage of time, hence the detail of the "tar" splashed on the edges of the mortar as well as certain brightness that naturally would not have the wood but because of the varnish applied on them there are some remains.
I show how the mortar looks like with different profiles.
Being a baked piece, it is divided into a high piece with a higher polygonal load and a low piece with a lower load, which is the one that will load the game engine. I leave the asset maps below. In my case I divided in materials the mortar to obtain a higher resolution of textures in the part of the cannon, so I will put to the left the maps of the cannon and to the right of the rest of the body.
