Mermaid Princess

I created two types of hair styles using XGen in Maya to generate along placed guides. The first was the updo bun hair, which was executed because of my reservations about the upcoming animation I would be required to make; unsure about the logistics of simulation, I stuck to an updo to reduce any potential clipping.

Once realising that Unreal Engine supported XGen with plugins and physics simulators, I went back in to create a new hair groom, with longer hair to have more characteristic elegant flowing hair of a mermaid.
