Before I was accepted into Futuregames, I dedicated two months to creating a prototype for a fully networked tactical shooter player-controller inspired by Escape From Tarkov.

A primary focus of this project was using procedural animation to create full-body shooter animations using a very small set of base animations.

In the above demo, I am demonstrating my physics-based weapon sway, procedural recoil animations, and duel rendered scope systems.

This prototype used fully third-person animations, meaning that instead of using a camera with floating arm models rendering above the game, everything is fully 3d, and all clients see the character replicating the exact same motions without the need for extra world animation sets.

As you can see above the camera even transitions from the center of the face to the right eye when aiming. This is to ensure that the player is actually aiming down their scope when viewed from the third person.
