One of the best projects I have made so far, definitely learned a lot from this lesson of the online course I'm taking and I will keep improving because I still have a lot ahead of me!

Round of applause for our sponsors

This time I bring you an artic environment, also part of one of the lessons of the online course I'm taking.

Thisone was really fun making, I've always liked the look of frozen landscapes and the way light reflects of the ice.

For this project I followed the same workflow as the previous one, with the exception that I made the glaciers with the terrain generator tool in Blender and then added two procedually generated ice texture on them, one for the ice and one for the snow.

The water is a cube with both a water texture and a principled volume. To animate the water I  added a Voronoi texture, set it to 4D ad animated the W slider with very low values (0 - 0.003 in 360 frames).

For the small ice floating around I used the rock generator to generate 10 different rocks, then squashed them on the z axis and added a variation of the ice texture for the glacier, then I proceded to add them to the water cube as particles and used weight paint to distribute them like I wanted.

Hope you like it!
