My little viking
This was a project that I really enjoyed doing. I made it as a gift for my girlfriend for Valentine's Day. She loves the theme of Vikings and their culture very much, so I decided to represent her in Viking clothing.
The process was really easy and fluid. I started sculpting the basic shape of the body in blender until I had the general features. Then I applied automatic retopology with the quadremesher addon to be able to pose the model correctly and have a better topology for texturing. On the face, manual retopology was performed to better fit the model. Some assets were extracted from the character creator and others were created following the same process as the character. The texturing was done in substance and then brought to blender again. Eevee was essential for lookdev as it can evaluate the final shader, lighting and composition of the scene instantly and the result is not too far from the final cycles processing as you can see in the process images. I hope you enjoy this image as much as I do!
