This is an ongoing collection of my work from my fine art course and the work I have done since. I have included parts of an art project I did called 'Dreaming', where I explore different elements of our subconscious minds.

Photography from my 'Dreaming' project - trying to capture the euphoric, disoriented confusion which occurs after waking from a dream.

Second photography collection from my 'Dreaming' project depicting dreams about being exposed, a lack of boundaries/control, and feeling vulnerable.

Continued from the 'Dreaming' project, these pieces are focused on nightmares, and are more abstract in style.

The first is a colour pencil study on losing your emotional defences - the skin symbolises a barrier between your surfacing emotions and the battles you have to face in day-to-day life. You are losing your defences and it haunts your nightmares with visions of your skin cracking, melting or peeling.

The second is a digital piece made in Photoshop which builds on the first piece, revealing the fragility behind the flesh.

The third is an unrelated piece created using watercolours and a white gel pen. Dreaming about losing teeth or having decaying teeth is common. This painting illustrates the intrusive feelings of insecurity and self-doubt that occurs during these dreams.

These are some mini-outcomes from my 'Dreaming' project each representing different recent dreams I have had.
