This game is a two person senior thesis created by Cessia Castillo and Dana Lee at Ringling College of Art and Design
Scout's Honour is a 3D sandbox experience where you play as a young scout at summer camp. Graduation is a few days away, and somehow you've managed to collect no patches during your time at Camp Evolent. Race against the clock and decide whether to gain patches through good deeds or mischievous acts. Will you use your time to graduate in top honours, or will you unveil some malicious camp secret? Every action counts, so it's time to get patching or get packing!
The game features day and night scenery for three main areas in our world: The Main Campsite, The Cliffside, and The Activities Field. In between the Cliffside and the Activities Field lies a Small Outlook.Use the progress sliders to see the area's lighting scenarios!
All assets for the game were hand painted through a combination of Photoshop, 3D Coat, and Substance Painter.
The main campsite is home to the camper's cabins and the main lodge where everyone comes together to eat meals. The area was once a source of running water until the Evolent family bought out the land. The campers call this place their home and enjoy lighting up a campfire at the pit in the evening.
Up in the higher camp grounds lies the cliffside where gardening and astrology activities are held. The area can get quite windy due to its open faced cliff and altitude.
~ The Activities Field~
Within the start of the aspen forest you can find the activities field bustling with energy. Here you can find the campers participating in archery, picnicking, and the occasional arts-n-crafts.
An area of rest between the activities field and the cliffside, the most mischievous campers like to hang out here. It links the lowest and highest part of the campgrounds while providing a nice view and peaceful scenery.

~Personal Assets in Scout's Honour~
My main contribution to the project involved the majority of look development, asset creation, and texturing. During first semester the camper's cabin was look development asset, which helped solidify the art direction taken for the rest of the project.
The modular character was my central asset created for the purpose of getting the most out of one character model and skeleton inside UE4.
Through detachable facial and hair assets in total there is up to 288 variations of the camper, including texture modularity the variation increases to 497,664+
In addition to this I was able to add height variations in engine through animation blueprints used for NPC campers, allowing us an even larger scale of camper variation to chose from.
On April 16th, 2019 Scout's Honour reached an overwhelming 356% of its goal with a total of 149 backers in 1 month!
We've received so much support and love on our project and are humbled by the experience we've gained during our senior thesis.
Currently in our second semester of development we are in the middle of completing our game to a final playable package for GDC.
