Cel-shading with optimized outlines for Unity that I've made for the game I'm currently working on.
Hi, today I will present my most ambitious project till today related to Unity Shaders and Visual effects, a fully customizable Toon Cel-shading with optimized outlines for the game I’m currently working on, Kivik.
This Cel-shading contains:
- Toon style effect.
- Compatibility with customizable color gradients, for changing how the shadows are represented in the shader if needed.
- Cast shadows of the 3D models.
- Compatibility with multiple lights in a scene, not only the directional light.
- Optimized outlines, in other words, this outline were achieved without having to double the model geometry, so the performance of the game will not be affected.
- Customizable outlines in the Unity Inspector.
