This version is better. I also included the instructions on how to play. this version also has a few duplicates in it, though I only showed one of each.

Setup

Give each player an investigator card and roll 5 dice on each investigator card (this will be the players’ health). Then set up the location card face up in a 3 by 3 grid with the middle space empty following a 1, 2, 3, $, 4, 5, 6,! pattern circle (if you want for future games you may change how these cards are placed as long as the cards are touching side to side). Place the player's pieces at the city location (!).

Rules

Health Rules: Whenever a player rolls some dice, they must compare the number rolled to the numbers on their health dice. If ever a number rolled also matches one of their health dice, that health dice is removed and is considered that player taking damage. If the player has multiple of the same number for their health dice then the player only loses 1 health die for each match rather than losing all of them. When a player loses all their health die, they are dead and all cards in their hand are discarded (unless that player has the phone item in which case that item must be used immediately). When a player dies event cards underneath the investigator card are not discarded.

Items: Item cards can only be used on your turn (with the exception of the phone item card) and you can use as many of them as you want. If there are no more item cards, discarded items are not reshuffled back into the item deck.

Alien cards: Every time an alien card is flipped over or is discarded it is added to the invasion countdown, if there are 3 aliens at the location at any time, all players die and the game is over. If a player has the phone item, the game is still over but that player places 2 event cards in their hand underneath their investigator card. Alien cards cannot ever be added to a player’s hand, The camera item can prevent the player from rolling dice when flipping one of these cards as long as it is discarded after use.

Event Card: When an event card is flipped the player, who flipped it will be affected by the effect of the card and cannot avoid it (unless it requires a dice roll, in which case using the camera item will allow the player to avoid rolling and also add the event to their hand). When the player makes a roll attempt with an event card, they roll a number of dice between 1 and 6, afterwards they roll a single die (this die does not do damage to players). If the number on the die is equal to or lower than the number of dice they rolled before, then the player adds that event card to their hand. If the single die is higher then the player does not add the event card to their hand, and it remains face-up on that location.

Research points: When all players die the game is over. Players then tally up the value of all the event cards underneath their investigator cards and the winner is the person with the most points. If there is a tie then between those players the one with the fewest event cards wins, if ties still persist then too bad.

Start of Round

Start of the round, roll a 1 die (2 if there are 4 players) and place an event card face down on the locations corresponding to the number on the dice. If an event card is already at the location then discard the event that was already there and replace it with the new one (if it is an alien card then add it to the invasion countdown). From then on players take turns having their actions. Keep in mind dice rolled during this section do not deal damage to players. If an event card can’t be drawn then flip over all event cards at the locations.

Player Turn

On a player's turn, they get two actions. The same action can be done in one turn. Actions include…

1 The player can move themselves to another location that is adjacent to their current location by one space (no diagonals).

2 The player can flip over the event card at their current location and must make a roll attempt. If the event card is already flipped over then the player only makes a roll attempt.

3 The player can look at the event without flipping it over (do not show other players).

4 If the player is at the city location (!), they can submit all their evidence points by placing them underneath their investigator card (event cards underneath the investigator card cannot be lost even if that player dies).

5 If the player is at the convenience store location ($), they can search for items by rolling as many dice as they want picking up an item card for each dice rolled, then the player only keeps 1 of those item cards and shuffles the rest back into the item deck.

6 The player can gain 1 more health (up to the max of 5).
