Square Studies 1 - 80

Over the lock-down period I have been trying to keep busy with some studies! First daily, then weekly, and now just wherever I can spare an hour or so. The goal is to practice something, that isn't people, that's based in colour, on as fewer layers as possible. The first 30 were completed over the course of 2020...

Continuing into 2021 the official studies became a lot harder, so things slowed down again. Overall I found it was most important, as well as all the things I set out to study, was to have fun!

Moving through to 2022 - So close to 100 now! Taking a little break after making some of these into stickers. I found myself after a while studying less and only picking "sticker worthy" subjects; which defeats the purpose. So it's back to the drawing tablet to give the last 20 the studying they deserve. 

In doing these small, square studies I have learnt a bunch. Plus, I also have plenty of images saved to an Inspiration folder, never wanting for something to draw.
