Time Gap - Abandoned Room
An abandoned room made with Unreal Engine.
I made this project in collaboration with a good friend.
We made the modeling within a weekend and from there, I pushed texturing and lighting as far as I could.
This was a huge texturing practice for me. Substance Designer was my most used tool for the creation of every base material. Then inside Unreal, I made all the shaders for tweaking every surface until they matched what I was aiming to. I also used Painter whenever I needed to add any details like wood erosion into some objects.
Lighting was also a fun part to work in. In order to achieve the contrasty look of it, I used a strong Directional getting in through the window plus a standard Skylight. But the key was in the Post Process. By tweaking the Offset settings I got to make the scene to be set around someday afternoon.
I cannot wait to make more environments and keep growing my skills as an Environment Artist.
