Steampunk Compass
I wanted to create a pocket watch/compass hybrid for this weeks drill. With the concept the it was something someone found in the mud but would lead them to some kind of wonder.

I'm really happy with how this turned out, ran into some challenges with substance painter and ambient occlusion of the gears which I wanted to move. I'm so looking forward to more of these and perhaps making some more portfolio ready pieces.
Above is my working process, including reference, block out phases of both materials and shapes.
