Update - 21 Mar 2021

My final Eevee entry. The end of the weekly challenge somewhere on the web.

I'm not satisfied, but a learned a lot -Eevee related- and that is why I do these challenges.

* Slightly improved knowledge about particle hair. A difficult and slow subject.
* Solved some Eevee-related problems - set overscan to 10%.
* Time management went well
* Working with stencils in paint mode is still an annoying process
* Creating textures using GIMP and Blender is cumbersome and leads to errors. Overwriting originals, no backups ...
* Cartoony style is difficult
* Colors schemas ...

Eevee render, a couple of hours left. Not sure what items I need to improve.

Update - 18 Mar 2021

Start adding details. A lot of Eevee problems on the way. I put the Eevee film overscan option to max 10%. Otherwise, the mirror reflection renders the cupboard in a haze. Also, the mirror reflection is always a bit unsharp. The hair is not so 'sharp' as rendered with Eevee.? Unsure what to do here. The current Eevee render is about 4 min. Not so realtime ...

Update - 18 Mar 2021

What is a hair salon without any hair spray ...

Update - 17 Mar 2021

All main story components are here.  Now adding details and trying to get a better composition. Which I find hard todo. Because in my mind sits an image, uncertain what it is. But trying to explore it using this current model.  I have the feeling that it is still a long way to go. The direction is uncertain. The hairstyle is still a problem. Feedback from others tells me they don't understand the chainsaw. And suggest using something else. I'm in doubt ...

Update - 16 Mar 2021

Bad hair day. Working with hair particles is difficult for me. I don't have powerful hardware and the current Eevee render with hair takes about 90 sec. Also, hair is a difficult thing to work with. Too many options, too many interactions. So I improve the complete scene step by step. In small incremental improvements. Try to see how to improve the story and or composition.

Update - 16 Mar 2021

Because the hair dude sits in front of a mirror, which reflects the interior, I need to create the salon too. I didn't think upfront about this. It will increase the need for more props.

Update - 16 Mar 2021

I think because of the (very) low poly it's difficult to wrap the hand and fingers around the chainsaw. But because of the time constraints, I use this. I can always change the composition so that bad parts aren't that obvious.

Update - 16 Mar 2021

This is a weekly non-Rookies challenge on the web. The theme is "Hair salon". And currently, due to COVID-19, we haven't seen a hairdresser for months. So I decided to base the "Hair salon" on a COVID-19 story.

And because I use only open-source software (Blender, GIMP, Krita, Inkscape) I immediately think of Agent 327, the barbershop movie. It's part of my visual reference.
