This project is my first game environment in Unity using the Standard Render Pipeline. It was intended as an optimized-for-VR environment, if you have VRChat installed, you can launch this world through this link: https://vrchat.com/home/launch?worldId=wrld_43586e1e-a0b2-4513-a2ac-b387d0083868

Round of applause for our sponsors

This project is my first game environment in Unity using the built-in render pipeline.

Special thanks to the ad-cetera advertising agency in Düsseldorf, which allowed me to work on this project during my internship there.

It was intended as an optimized-for-VR environment, so a big focus was on keeping the draw calls to a minimum and having it run as smoothly as possible.

I made heavy use of texture atlases and floaters/decals to add the details, as well as using face-weighted normals to give everything a somewhat-baked look, which lets me iterate much more quickly on the environment.

If you have VRChat installed, you can launch this world through this link:

Here are almost all of the modular pieces used, I based it on a 50cm grid, with some odd pieces here and there to break up some of the composition

Different color variants were easily implemented thanks to the layered nature of Quixel DDO
