Survival Knife - Weekly Drills

I wanted to participate to this Weekly Challenge ! I try to create a little story for the knife with the blood. What happened here ? Maybe the owner cut an animal to survive ? Take off parasite in his body ?

I use Maya/Zbrush and polypaint (plants) for the model and it was textured in Substance Painter, rendered in Marmoset Toolbag.
