Fish Tank
Fish Tank for the Weekly Drills. Made in Zbrush, Photoshop and Maya.
I was very excited to try the weekly drills and was inspired by the fish tank theme. I primarily used Zbrush and Photoshop for the creation of this project.
I started with making the fishtank in Maya, and then bringing it into Zbrush to be posed. I screenshotted the best angle and drew a quick sketch over the top.
I built up the blockouts in Zbrush to create the wave of water, fish and objects within the fishtank. I experimented with different effects for the water ripples but found that using the basic curve brush and multiplying them like stylized hair worked the best.
I turned on the transparent shading in order to get the fish tank plants to appear in the water. I was going to start rendering at this point however, the fish tank became lost behind the wave and the final image didn't have enough depth.
I recreated the wave again in order to enlarge the fish tank. I was finally happy with this and started the BPR renders to bring them into Photoshop.
After compiling each render I was happy with the final product.
After the critiques, I enlarged the fish and added a reflection
