A school project where we were given the character concept then had to sculpt and retopologize it.

RE-TOPOLOGIZED
This is a school assignment we worked on for the last semester of 2nd year. We were given the character concept but no context (ie. is it for film or games?) which made figuring out the appropriate amount of resolution a little difficult. I tried to keep a nice silhouette without it becoming too dense. I learnt a lot about re-topologizing through this project. I think nice edge flow, and clean lines in general are pretty so I found the process very satisfying.
We were instructed to place the face and eyes on their own udims and to fit everything else into 2. Though tedious, I honestly enjoyed the little puzzle of squeezing everything to fit. I also had not had the chance to create a simple stylised 3D character so this was a fun new experience for me. Overall, I learnt a lot and enjoyed this!
