I painted the skin texture in Mari and projection painted a map from Texture xyz for the displacement.
I manually retopologized in Maya using Quad Draw and reprojected to the high poly mesh in ZBrush.
This illustration of Baal is on the cover of Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction. This was my main reference.
With my next sculpt, I want to experiment more with skin texture. There's a lot more I could've done with small imperfections, roughness, etc. to make it look more realistic. I want to learn grooming in XGen, and I'll work on making more realistic eyes.
