Fender Amp

A small asset to improve my workflow. For this reason, I looked into Dylan Abernethy's typewriter tutorial. The material of the front grill was a challenge for me because I consider myself still as a Substance Designer beginner. Altogether I had a lot of fun creating my Fender beginner Amp.

Hello there.

For this, I wanted to improve my workflow for asset creation. That's the reason, I followed Dylan Abernethy's small typewriter course, which you can find here: www.artstation.com/artwork/D5kXE0

A big 'Thank you' to Dylan for that one!

I didn't want to do something complex as an old typewriter, but just a relatively simple Asset. Therefore, I choose my beginner Guitar Amp, a Fender Frontman 15G.

Another reason why I choose a Fender Amp, in particular, was the silver-colored front grill. There wasn't a good photo texture so because of that I could force myself to do it in Substance Designer. I'm still a beginner in that software and there wasn't a specific tutorial either. It was an interesting challenge for me but I'm actually pretty proud of how the Material came out.

Unfortunately, I couldn't do some last touch-ups in the textures, because my Substance Painter File corrupted yesterday.

I'm looking forward to using this workflow more often in the future and I'm hyped for new projects.

Cheers.
