My last project for my demo reel. I wanted to create a humaniod creature. I did the concept myself and used mostly greek mythology for the creating process.
Story:
Syllekiron, the dream collector, is a blind creature.
A Son of Nyx goddess of the night and related to the Oneiroi, like morpheus,Phobetor and Phantaso.
Rather then appearing in the dreams of humans like other Gods of Dreams, Syllekiors collects dreams in his lantern called dream catchter.
Every night when his mother nyx brings the night over mankind Syllekiron moves out to collect dreams.
Humans, animals or even gods make no diffrents to him. When the night ends he uses his lantern to look at the dreams and get an idea how the world around him looks.
Reference
as reference I used a mix of human anatomy and a mythological creature in my case a Satyr or Faun. For the Dream Catcher (The lamp) I used a real world reference.
