The idea of the project is to create a fake accident in Paris.
This project was made with Joy Lahmann-Paz (https://www.therookies.co/joylp), Thibault Marconnet and Ruddy Born.
I made the bus model, I rigged both vehicles with the rigacar addon, a little bit of the textures, the 3d deformation of the vehicles and the 3d tracking.
The Nissan Micra model comes from sketchfab.

The breakdown of my part of the project (nor counting the base animation of the vehicles (Ruddy Born) and most of the textures of the bus (Thibault Marconnet).
For the simulation the animation stopped right befor the collision. I then ran a rigid body simulation between the 2 vehicles and the floor making sure the gravity center of each was physically correct.
I then replaced the 2 vehicles with some low poly proxy that had to cover the vehicle geometry.
I ran a soft body simulation on those to get the deformation I needed, it was a lot of tweaking values.
Then I applied the deformation on the high poly vehicles with a mesh deform modifier.
