Weekly Drill 9 - Nike x Travis Scott Air Max 270 Cactus Trails

I decided to improve upon this model and surfacing after the drill. Here it is, updated!

These are the Nike x Travis Scott Air Max 270 Cactus Trails. With the protests in the U.S. in mind, I wanted to choose a sneaker that would help me reflect on what has happened and learn more in the process. I decided to model this sneaker, designed by Travis Scott (I really, really love the design), after doing some research on Complex. There are some great articles on Complex about countering systemic racism, which I definitely recommend reading.

I modeled the sneakers in Maya (sooooo much quad draw haha), textured in Substance Painter and Photoshop and rendered in Marmoset. I have never modeled a sneaker before so this was definitely challenging. Overall, I'm proud of how it turned out and I learned a lot through this drill.
