Procedural Rope Generator
For this week's drill, I decided to create a procedural rope generation tool using Houdini. It's a small tool which can generate rope automatically along a curve. Rendering was done with Arnold in Maya, Substance Painter to texture and Nuke for some slight touch-ups.
Additionally, the rope is ready to be simulated. Below is a quick setup using Houdini's grain solver to produce a swinging/hanging rope. Ideal for fences or nautical rope too.
