I have always loved vertex shaders, and how to manipulate objects at the rendering stage. Something that you see a lot is the classic animated scifi sphere, and as a scifi fan I am I thought I have to make this. I have to understand what makes the panels move and shift color? I know it involved some kind of shader logics. I also wanted to create a transition so it showed a clear life span and so that it didnt only simply wobble. I wanted something more so I combined some effects into one.
