Face Morphs is a completely new topic we learned and touched upon this week. It is a very interesting and well used method in the industry. It is a special effect in motion pictures and animations which allow changes from one shape or image into another shape in a seamless manner.

Face animation is a very challenging thing to do and also get it right, especially if it is for the first time. Expressions when gotten right help in enhancing the shot and make it so much better.

Here are some of the expressions we made for the movie.

Animation is what helps in adding life to our project. We have been working and observing every detail in our shots to make sure we are able to create the smoothest animations for the project.

Working on animations is a work that requires a lot of precision and observation. It is also something that you need to spend the most amount of time on. All the details, all the angles, all the curves need to be perfect. It is a fun yet tiring process.

It's been a while but we're back with huge updates and finalized environment! The modeling has been done in 3Ds Max and texturing in V-Ray renderer. It was a pleasure to discover all the endless possibilities this render engine offers and how great the final outcomes look like. With the help of GI (Global Illumination), proper texturing and attention to details, any 3D model can become photo-realistic. But since our animated short film is in a cartoony, Pixar-like style, the texturing and lighting were done accordingly. Below are the results. Stay tuned for character reveal! ;)

This is the set of books that fill up his room and act as set of   props that fill up the room to make it look nice

and as he is a young boy they are story books as that what 13 year old boys usually read

Introducing the Skill Enhancer which is supposed to help Jaydee have better athletic skills... Well, at least he thinks so. :D  Here's some information about it:

The Skill Enhancer is a completely new and innovative technology. The machine generates impulses that are then transferred through the skin stimulating the muscles. It can be utilized as a strength tool for healthy subjects and athletes allowing to be faster and stronger.

Designing them was a bit of a challenge at first since they required careful observation to make them believable and logical. Initial designs didn't have a knee protector which was the first mistake that was figured out during the research. However, after getting some insights on that kind of technology, it was fun combining various elements together to create something new and unique.
