I was always creating art in different ways ever since I was 5. From traditional and fine art painting and draing now to concepting and 3d art.

I knew I wanted to work in the games industry from a very young age as I grew up around video games thanks to the influence of my parents. From playing Little Big Planet and Lego Star Wars as a child with my dad to helping my mum beat bosses in God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn in the last few years, I've always been passionate about the video game space. In secondary school I began to build my art skills which has taken me all the way to the Games Arts degree I'm on currently.

After I started studying an engineering degree and I noticed how unhappy and unfulfilled I was I decided to chase my hobbies and turn them into a career

I've always had a creative mind. Always trying to blend reality with my mind to create new ideas and alternative ways of solving out problems. I started as a musician, but after completing successfully my musical studies during COVID, I decided to try something with a farther and wider creative reach. Games Design.

When I was young, I would watch lots of movie like blade runner. And wanted to be part of the creative process in comeing up with interesting characters and worlds.

I first realised I wanted to work in the creative industry is when I was doing my apprenticeship in Childcare back in 2017. I wasn’t happy with what I was doing and realised this isn’t the future I wanted. I decided to follow what I was more passionate about. So I went to college to study art and design and found my interest in Gaming along the way. The best decision I have made and I do not regret it one bit.

I always prefer to do something not in STEM and enjoyed art growing up

Ever since I was a kid playing on my PlayStation 1, experiencing such classics as Spyro, Crash, and more. I always imagine creating these immersive worlds, with expressive characters and personalities. Which lead me originally down the line of 2D concept artwork, but more recently a shift into the 3D pipeline.

I have actively studied art since highscool, through a variety of different mediums. Having started a course specifically focused around concepting is what drew me in to pursue a career further. I feel there is more freedom in what I can explore and develop in this pathway than in any of the other mediums I have explored.

Since I was young I've enjoyed playing and experiencing games, as I grew up I realised I could take a step to make something in the gaming industry myself.

When I was in secondary school I used to spend my free time browsing concept art websites and it sparked an interest that has been burning bright ever since.

I originally planned to follow my best friend of 3ish years at the time to do business studies and when he made the decision to do games art as a career, The course just threw us into creative development with no stops on what software's to use, ofcourse we had no idea how to use them but the fun i had learning and creating is what brought me here and i hope to make my younger self proud as this industry nurtures my skills to a higher degree.

At 16, my first game art lecturer told me that once I began to learn the technical side of game art, it would begin to work its way into my everyday life. He said that for example, I would look at a rock on the side of the road, and I would visualize its topology, how it could be textured, and what lighting would really make it pop. He was correct and I became instantly fascinated with both the technical and artistic sides of games. I am now 21 and my passion continues to grow every day.

after playing games i wanted to do concept art

I have always had a love for anything fictional, be it films, books or videogames and often wrote and drew ideas. When I took graphics design in college, it opened up the prospect of making this passion a career.

Off the back of taking art at GCSE, I knew I was going to take art seriously, luckily my college offered Game Development which was its first year running. Having always loved games from my earliest memories, I wanted to mash them together so I took it and didn't want to look back, I love the stories of fiction and gaming is a way to live the experiences.

I found out that I had a talent for art in secondary school when I chose to do art for my GCSE's . When it was time for me to decide whether to go to business school or art school, I made the last minute decision to go all out on my art, since then I have gradually worked my way into a genre that I enjoy and want to keep pursuing.

I grew up with a fondness for digital media, including games, movies, and tv shows. It allowed me to connect with others, and that's how I made my friends. Arts was also one of my favorite subjects at school, felt relaxing as it is very different from the other subjects.

When I was doing my creative media course in college and I got a chance to experience game development and that is when I wanted to learn more about game design.

I started doing graphic design in collage, this was when I started to realise I wanted to follow a creative career. Videogames was always a passion of mine, however I had no way of looking into the career until I was looking at universities. when I attended an open day session I realised I wanted to go into a career including videogames and this course was the first step into that journey.

I have always been into art from a young age and played a lot of games and loved the environment aspect, i realized I wanted to pursue this as a career
