Uncover Hidden Talent: Hire the World’s Top New Digital Artists
When I was a child, I watched Back to the future. It made me excited and gave me an unforgettable passion for creating. Then the time I was 15th, I’ve known 3DCG and some awesome contents made by 3DCG and VFX. (The most impressive one is "Bloodborne" from FromSoftware.) At that time I started thinking about work in the creative industry.
It started whIt started when I was 23 years old. I first approached a publisher when I was 19 years old with the idea of getting a job in Japan doing comics. I was able to win a few comic awards as a result, but there were a lot of barriers to getting it to work. That's when I came across 3DCG. After that, I found out about the concept artist job and I felt it was the only job I could do.
I grew up watching movies such as Pixar, Harry Potter, and Star Wars. I have always been fascinated with their visual storytelling. Also, I have loved handicrafts such as origami for as long as I can remember. I came across 3DCG when I was in high school and realized that 3D has something similar to origami, and someday I could be a part of filmmaking.
I first realised that I wanted to work in the creative industry a long time ago, but I decided to start working at it seriously about 3 years ago. I felt inspired every time I watched a 3D animated film and I wanted to really immerse myself in that feeling. I started to consider going back to school to study, and in September 2020 I enrolled in the 1-year VFX/CG course at Digital Hollywood, Tokyo.
After graduating from the university's Faculty of Architecture, I worked at a general contractor for about five years. From the experience of uploading personally created architectural spaces with VRchat, I feel that the privilege of designing spaces is no longer unique to the construction industry, so I am attending Digital Hollywood University with the goal of changing jobs to the CG industry.
