After painting for a long time, I wanted to find a clear job for myself after having a hard time. It was CGI that came to mind right away without any worries, and I wanted to learn skills that could naturally specialize in visual senses and creativity. Above all, I have always been influenced by my favorite movies, dramas, and media advertisements, and I want to start anew for something similar.

I was naturally interested since I was in college.

Hello, I'm An Ji Yun, a new compositor. This is my portfolio. Thanks for watching. I have been dreaming of becoming a compositor since a year ago. I'll be a more mature composite in the future.

In my third year of college, there was a time when I was comforted by watching movies due to so many bad news. I also wanted to help make a movie that I wanted to comfort and impress someone.

The more I watched movies using visual effects, the more I fell in love with them. and such movies gave me inspiration. But most of all, this industry has shown and taught me passion.

The trigger was when I uploaded a game asset to the Steam Workshop. At that time, I felt the fun of modeling in the process of making assets. The positive response to my assets was also a big help. After that, I dig deeper into this field.

I quickly became interested in 3D design because I had studied fashion and industrial design before. The beginning is, When I was 23 years old, I saw real character modeling by accident for the first time and thought that I wanted to study. However, before that, I thought that I wanted to make my own things that I saw in my dreams and create them in a certain space. So I became more interested in this field.

When I took an animation class in my third year of college, I worked on a robot animation. I found it fun and interesting to move a stationary character as if it were breathing life into it, so from then on I wanted to learn animation and started doing it.

I took it for granted that I had been drawing often since I was young, but I found out that what I felt was different from others, and then I thought I wanted to work on creating something. So I thought about what would be a good creative thing to do, then I thought I should do something related to animation that I liked, so I started learning 3d animation

I've been interested in Barbie and Disney animations since I was a kid. Up until I was in high school, I was just wondering how amazing people are who make 3D animations like that, but the moment I was in college, I felt like, "I want my name on the ending credits of such cool 3D animations." So, as soon as I graduated from college, I jumped in with passion, even though it was a totally unrelated field.

Those experiences were so fun and I decided to become a CG artist.

My creative journey stated when I joined the photography club in middle school. Taking pictures with film gave me a lot of inspiration for my teens. So I decide my mind I will be in to media industry. And It make me apply to Art College. During 4years of studying I found myself falling in love with film again. such as photo and video. Most of all, I do more interested in visual art position. and It is getting me more desire to know about editing and visual effect. Finally I discover about VFX.

During the pandemic, I was reflecting on what I really wanted to do and what I could do well. After spending a long time introspecting, I realized that I have been deeply passionate about artwork, whether it's constantly exploring new concepts or creating something entirely new. I found VFX by chance, and I was so obssessed and delighted because this is exactly I wanted to do.

Since the days when I used to draw, I have had a high interest in CG graphics in games, movies, and dramas, often incorporating them into my own work. As I became curious about how CG is implemented and later discovered the intricacies of the field through learning about modeling, I realized that the field is much more finely divided than what we commonly think of as CG work.

애니메이션 영화를 보며 기존에도 항상 CG에 대한 열망이 있었지만 다양한 이유로 다른 직군으로 취업한 후 이제서야 꿈꿔왔던 CG아티스트가 되기 위해 시작하게 되었습니다.

From an early age, I fell in love with the charm of seeing something that I created and being impressed by others. After that, I became interested in graphic design, so I studied visual design. In the process, I got my current career path as I encountered the 3D video industry.

I liked movies so much that I decided to study computer graphics when I was a college student

I vaguely see the graphics of a movie or game, and I want to make something like that too. I thought about it, but at the recommendation of a friend, I started learning it together, and now I'm having fun working on it.
