Ever since playing games at a young age, I always wanted to understand how these games were made. When games starting getting more detailed and more beautiful, I wanted to start making my own. I wanted to learn how to create stories just with a single environment, how to make a mood for an environment and to overall feel proud of my work. When I finished my first environment, that was when I wanted to work in this industry. I felt so creative and just loved the story telling behind each project.

When I saw my cousin making a world of warcraft character when I was a kid and thought, man thats so cool. Ever since then its been doing fine art in school, getting to study animation in university and preparing myself to jump into the games industry head first.

I distinctly remember painting a butterfly in nursery school, and wanting to do creative work forever. Growing up surrounded by creative family members and friends, as well as a huge love for video games and animation only furthered my want to join the industry in some way.

I've always enjoyed art. I've been drawing since I was young, I've been a part of the Cinematic program for most of my teen years, and I did Art and film studies at A level. I've always found the process of creating films and art really interesting, learning about the techniques and methods of others is fascinating to me. After during my last year of A levels I decided I wanted to work in the creative industries after experimenting with Blender, i found it really fun and satisfying.

When I was about five years old and my brother unlocked a cheat for the first Medal of Honor that showed the wireframes for the levels. From that point onwards I've always been interested in games development and the technical under the hood workings of them.

I had an interest in all things creative since I started high school, but during my foundation degree in art and design, I realised that animation was the path for me. An 8 week module sparked a fascination in bringing stories and characters to life, and now here I am 4 years later, soon to graduate from Ulster University with a BDes in Animation!

I have loved art since childhood. I didn't realize i could have a career in it until 3 years ago when i discovered animation and VFX industry. I like the mixture of technical and creative skills combining together to tell a story

After finishing school, art was the only thing that really stuck with me as the skill set I wanted to pursue. I enrolled in a college course where I realised that I could combine my skills with my love of films; something I had never considered as a viable career option before! And so I am currently preparing to enter the final year of my Animation degree. For me, it is a wonderful combination of storytelling, creativity, technical skill, team work and patience!

After high school I become an apprentice design engineer. In that job i ended up making renders for the company products and they got used on thier website and brochure. After that I became super interested in 3d and game engines.

I knew that I wanted to be involved in the creative industry before starting university. I chose game development for many of the same reason people get into games, because I love them. Over time I have grew to appreciate the different disciplines that come together to make a game, concept artists, 3D modelling and animation, audio design and engineering and development.

I've just always known that I was going to take a creative path having spent most of my childhood copying my favourite characters from storybooks and animations! Once I got a bit older I started playing video games and initially seen myself producing content for these. By the time I had completed secondary school it hit me that I should become an animator. The idea of being able to positively impact both children/adults alike through something fun really drove me to pick a career in this field!

I've always been a creative person, after highschool I did not know what I wanted to specialize in, I knew i wanted to do something with my creative abilities and soon found an animation course at Ulster University that ticked all the boxes that I was interested in. I then took the course and that when it really sunk in that I wanted to be a 3D animator and rigger. With an added passion for character design and illustration.

Both my parents are educators in this area, so it have been very central in conversation all my life. However it was taking part in a vfx residential work shop run by the bfi in London that make me what to work in the industry.

I first discovered I wanted to when I was interviewed for my university course- originally I had applied for another. However, I quickly grew to love the community of the industry and the work prospects.
