Uncover Hidden Talent: Hire the World’s Top New Digital Artists
I've always had a passion for games and loved to create and design concepts. After some health issues I decided it was time to stop putting that dream aside and start to pursue creating video games. That got me to enroll in Toronto Film School and has put me on the path to help in the founding of a small indie studio and work on our upcoming title!
I have always had a passion for video games and animated movies since I was young, but I also loved creating artworks whether it be through drawing or painting. Sometime during high school, it clicked that I could pursue a career that would marry both passions, and I've been chasing that goal ever since.
Around middle school. I purchased a game at the time that I can not remember the name of, but everything about that game made me feel so immersed in its structures and stories. And then I thought I want to do that when I'm older. I wanted to make something that would make others feel what I felt that day when i played that game.
I had been struggling in university for a while. While I really enjoyed a good amount of the content that I was learning, a part of me always knew that this was not where I was supposed to be. At one point I realized that I wanted a career in games, and after that moment I immediately started looking into schooling opportunities for making game art. That's when I found TFS. I've been loving it so far and can't wait to get started in the industry.
During my third year at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, ON - I realised that I didn't want to spend another 1.5 years to get my Bachelor's Degree with Honours; I was studying to be a teacher at the time. My local community college - Confederation College - had a program called "Interactive Media Development" which included 3D animation, 3D modeling, graphic design, web development, and a few other video game production courses; this is where I wanted to be; I enrolled and began the journey.
