I've been an artist my entire life, but when I graduated in the early 2000's a job in games was unobtainable for me. A few years ago I realized I needed to create to be happy, and I went back to school as a non-traditional student to study art. This transitioned into a love for 3d, and a constant need to learn everything I could get my hands on.

Working within the creative industry has always been an interest of mine as I grew up engulfed in the arts. After graduating high-school and taking a 4 years off to travel, I discovered after immersing myself in video games that I wanted to pursue a career in 3D modeling.

Towards the end of my AA I realized I wanted to pursue my passion of art, starting with traditional mediums like oil painting and clay sculpting. I enrolled at SNHU to learn more about digital illustration for games, but was quickly introduced to 3D. From there I fell in love with 3D and have fully dedicated myself to learning Character Art for games.

I realized that I wanted to work in the industry after quitting my nursing assistant job, which was my first job.

When I was in college trying to figure out I wanted to major in, I took an elective art class and decided that I wanted help create movies and videos games that made me happy growing up.

I started having no idea what I was doing, just playing around in Unity and Blender back in 2013. Then I took a break soon after because I was overwhelmed. But those experiences stuck with me, just rendering colorful glass cubes made me excited. Now I'm learning everything I can about 3D art and rendering.

I've always been drawn to the imaginative, ever since I was little. I've been inspired to take a career in creative media and have been working towards that goal for over 15 years.

From a young age I've had aspirations to work in some sort of creative field. However, it wasn't until probably my junior year of high school that I realized that I may want to pursue working professionally as a visual artist.

When did I first realize I wanted to work in creative industry? Well this all started at a very young age. Having some issues while growing up there was a big storm cloud above my head until I got my hands on my first gaming console. Having so much joy and forgetting the world around me really gave me my own world to escape to, I could be anywhere or anything I wanted at any time and that was something very special to me. Wanting to bring this experience to many others just like me .

To pinpoint the moment in which I knew creative work is what I wanted to do for a living I cannot necessarily pinpoint. It was through thinking over what I have been drawn to throughout my life both as a child and as an adult.

My passion to work in a creative industry was brought out during the beginning of the pandemic (2020). I've always loved to play video games and with the downtime during the pandemic I started messing around with software such as Blender and Unreal, and found that it was so interesting and fun. From there it was a matter of finding out the best way to learn and find the way to break into the industry.

I've been a gamer my whole life and have always wanted to be a part of creating them! After working many years in electronics and semi development, I decided it was time to pursue my dream career, and returned to school in 2020. I graduated in January 2023 with a BS in Game Programming & Development and cannot wait to get my start in the industry!

I have always enjoyed creating art using various media. Pencil and paper, charcoal, acrylic paint, digital art, and 3D. It wasn't until COVID-19 that I realized I wanted to do more with it.

Long time ago I was baffled and inspired by animation and 3d renders

I first realized that I wanted to work in the creative media and entertainment industry when I was able to write code in Basic for Logo to make the Turtle cursor create a colored flower on an Apple IIe. I knew that computer design was for me. I thought it might be for architecture. But, it evolved into graphic design and later to 3D modeling for game art and development.

I've done a lot of self reflecting and soul searching this last year. Nothing has grabbed my attention or distracted me from life as much as a potential entertainment career. I'd find myself over examining every movement people make (people i know or not) to string jokes together. That's how I started to grasp this idea is that while I was having a hard time learning at school, creativity and humor were SO easy to me which makes me want to use these for a career

I first realized it in Highschool, but I was basically one foot in one foot out and was seeking other career paths until I realized that entertainment and art was really what I want to dive 100% into.

My interest in with creative media piqued when video games such as Final Fantasy, and Guild Wars gained traction. I loved drawing as a child and then painting towards my youth. In my adult years I find myself being intrigued by bringing those elements to life through software and 3D manipulation.

Ever since I was a child, I wanted to create things. I loved games and started to learn how to make them.

Even since I was very young I've wanted to create my own video games. Beginning around three was when I was first introduced to some awesome games like DooM back in the 90's. In 2000 I played my most favorite game Deus Ex and was absolutely amazed at what video games could achieve. Since then I have been doing everything I can, including joining the military and finishing college, to create spectacular games of my own.

Playing videos games and recreating them in software.

My entire life I have loved drawing and was always recognized for good drawings for my age. Though growing up I was never told I could be an artist for a living. Once entering college and testing the waters for what career I wanted to enter I soon came to pursuing art. After experimenting with many medias like; oil painting, drawing, concept art, digital drawing etc, I came upon 3d. Nothing has grasped my interested and motivation to continue practicing and learning day after day.

I had always consumed media, and a lot of it had pushed me through to become myself. Media is amazing, as it is able to tell so many stories, share experiences, and even allow people to take the drivers seat to those experiences. I want to be part of the team of those artists that had inspired me, in hopes that I'd be able to perhaps help other people be inspired as well.

When the Star Wars special edition was released. I had a cd rom that showed how they did the computer graphics in the movies, and when I saw the models they made, showcased on a turntable. I was obsessed from then on. Life didn't see things the same, but I've made up for lost time.
