Round of applause for our sponsors

I first began when I was in high school and my sister gave me her old drawing tablet. I began to draw so often and as much as I could that on any amount of free time that I had I would be drawing. This then went further when I began a star course at sit while in high school. Then I got hooked on 3d modeling and animation.

I've always had a passion for the creative. Ever since I was a little kid I've been drawing fairies and creating mud sculptures. I've continued honing these skills all throughout my life, picking up different sketching skills and painting techniques along the way. After all of that, it felt natural to continue on this path after finishing highschool.

It wasn't until recently I realised, woah I'm good at this thing I enjoy, if I can make money off of it, why wouldn't i?

I've always felt confused about what I wanted to do as a career but I have always loved creating! but let's say when i was a senior in college

I have always admire storytelling through visuals. You can represent people's lives and culture through design and their environment. And I want to be able to do it as my profession, and bring more representation in the entertainment industry.

Ive known for a long time that I would end up on this path. My birthdays as a kid always revolved around getting new games and since then Ive continued exploring the modern age of media. I'm constantly inspired by games, films, animation and all the artistic talent that is poured into producing them. I still get goosebumps when I encounter something truly captivating and have been steadily working for the last few years to get in on the fun of creating worlds and characters to inspire others.

Since I was young, I always preferred 2D cartoons because they seemed more expressive and fast-paced, I started drawing since I was 2 years old (according to my parents). I've had some experiences in other forms of art including sculpting which I also liked, once I started College and leanrt about Unity and Zbrush I once again fell in love with art, only this time it was 3D.

Ever since I was a child, watching films like Star wars, Nightmare before Christmas and Iron Giant. I was absolutely enthralled by these films and when I found out that people made them for a living, I decided that was what I wanted to do.

I have had a passion for art since I was a child, and after completing a Master's Degree in Zoology in Otago, I realised I could use my skills and research experience in the entertainment industry.

When I was a kid I used to draw superheroes from comic books, I wanted to study something related to drawing, but at that time even I did not know that I could study something like that, besides there was a lack of options to do it. Then I started the university, I went into Design and Visual Communication, there were a couple of optional papers at the last year about animation, I took both traditional and 3D animation, since then I really wanted to keep learning more about it.

As a child, I used to love creating my own worlds and stories, but as I grew older education forced me away from the creative arts and more into Information Technology and the sciences. As part of my Bachelor of Information Technology, we had the option of completing a handful of creative papers to also achieve a National Diploma in Game Design. This sparked my passion again for creativity, game design and world building, after being told so often by teachers in high school that I couldn't.
