About 2 1/2 years ago i started doing vissuel mods for the farming sim Stardew Valley. I learned to do Pixelart and code a little bit. i was so much fun that i pick up rpg maker and started to learn more about games. After that, it hit me hard! I searched for some kind of way to learn, how to be a game Artist or designer and found the school of games in cologne ..now i dont want to do anything else. I have to much fun, doing 3D and realizing my concepts.

Raised in an artistic household, Maximilian Jonas learned about his passion for Art early on. After graduating School there was no other way than pursuing his dream of becoming a professional Artist for Movies and Games so he enrolled in VFX and Game Art programms to get a solid foundation. On his way, Max learned from Industry Professional James Schauf (Disney) to polish his production-pipeline skills and quality for Modeling, Sculpting and Texturing. Max‘ love includes every aspect of Modeling

I first realized that i want to work in a creative environment when trying out some 3D programs, i immediatly fell in love wanting to know and learn about different styles and work progressions. It all felt natural and made sense, it just felt right.

First time i played a Video Game

Since I played SW Battlefront 2015. The game was done with so much love and detail.

As a young child I realise how fascinated the whole creative field is and I always been very creative. I watched and played a lot of video games and wanted to do something like this by myself.

Since High School. Worked on numerous school projects and also attended lots of summer camps for graphic design and modeling, which paved the path for my current choice of education.

I first realized I wanted to work in a creative field when I was around 13. I always was a creative kid so that decision was quite natural for me. I also always had a passion for video games, so I put two and two together and realized it was my dream to work as a Game Artist.

Even as a child I was fascinated by JRPGs like Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts, which is why I thought that becoming a game artist would be the right thing for me. In the later course of my training, however, i quickly realized it wasn't the gameplay that mesmerized me, it were the cinematic cutscenes that Square Enix delivered. At that moment I noticed that I belong in the film industry and want to work on game cinematics or fantasy movies.

VFX and Games were always a part of my life, they defined my style and artistic drive at an early age. I started my journey with a pencil and paper, then switched to a tablet and Photoshop, after a pure coincidence i joined a two year long Game Arts school, which was my first contact to this Industry, i was free to visualize anything possible in this digital space and quickly i specialized in Character Art. After graduating i didnt stop working on my portfolio.

In 10th grade I started feeling that I was missing creativity in school. Half a year before graduation in my 12th year I finally quit and looked for something more creative, when suddenly a brochure from that school just came across and I knew... that's it.

In 2016 when I visited a job convention and spotted a school for 3D art. I've always been a gamer, so I'm more than happy to now attend the School of Games!

I`ve always been creative, but I decided two years ago to turn my hobby into a profession.

About 3 years ago, when I start deciding on switching my career path.
