Round of applause for our sponsors

I liked computers and I liked performing so I thought I would combine them by learning 3D animation but then blossomed into wanting to create 3D art. After graduating, I started using Substance Designer in my spare time, I've now developed a real passion for material creation. Achieved a first in BSc Computer Animation and VFX (Class of 2020) from Portsmouth university.

When I was 16 I bought my first graphics tablet. From then on I realized that making amazing digital art is not quite as unreachable as a skill as I first thought. Still trying to learn it doe.

I've always been an artist, but I never knew I wanted to do animation or games till about a year and a half ago.

Ever since I was little, I have watched most of Disney's 2D animated films and became quite a big fan. I didn't realise it at the time that i wanted to become an animator but I loved how the characters were drawn and how they came to life. I loved all the colours in the films and how the moods could easily change due to sound. I will always love 2D films or series' over live action because there is no limit with animation. Gaming has also given me a boost of encouragement!

6 years old! I used to want to be an author, but realised my preferred route to storytelling was TV/film!

After watching 343 Industries' 'The Sprint' when I was 13 which covered the final weeks of creating Halo 5 leading up to release.

I have always been a massive film fan, from a child and still today (my friends say I'm one of the only people left that still collects physical DVDs). Watching with amazement at the skill and always watching every behind-the-scenes footage I could, I knew that I wanted to be involved. Then as I got a bit older games entered the picture, something I could play by myself as an only child and get lost in another world.

I've always had a passion for creative outlets. I've loved to draw when I was growing up and that has developed into a greater creative passion. I enjoy cartoons and animation and hope to one day contribute to the animation industry!

When I was younger watching animated films

Years ago back in school, when I was messing around with adobe flash, I found I really enjoyed it and never stopped now im studyinganimation at university

ive always had a intrested in behind the scenes in films whilst growing up but i truely knew i wanted to to get in to films since college where i did a creative media course and i wanted to add a little extra on my work with thing such as effects .

artistic for a long time but only recently in the last couple years did i realise i wanted a creative career

while going through school then college etc. i would say the creative and entertainment industry picked me i was just trying out what i enjoy and decided to pursue it

Because computer game technology, aesthetics and narratives have been a driving force behind my creativity and mental wellbeing since I was a child. It's been a long and hard process getting here and I'm in my final year of my masters, continuing to work hard and fight through mental illness to achieve something I have always wanted to, to use it to my advantage and help others through the same hardships to follow their passion and show my own greatness and bring other people inspiration.
