Uncover Hidden Talent: Hire the World’s Top New Digital Artists
4 years ago, being into film making, art book and news translation , jewelry photography , graphic design and industrial product design, I found myself lost in the abundance of choices, yet having a deep fascination towards storytelling and the sci-fi genre as I look back to my childhood. Later on, I found the artistic figures like CubeBrush- Marc Brunet, Bobby Chiu and Iain McCaig, felt inspired, and attempted to get into the entertainment art industry via concept art and illustration.
Since young, I have always had a passion for gaming. It wanted to understand what it took and how games were created to allow for such fun gameplay. I then went on and enrolled myself in a game design course and that was where my interest for 3D started to grow. My 3D journey began and now my interests would lie towards being an environment artist.
As a artistic individual, I love to express my creativity by illustrating in 2D. Later on when I stepped into the world of games, I was amazed by just how art can not only be seen on a flat surface but become something that surrounds you. The environmental design of games captivated me and motivated me to step into the creative industry by taking up a diploma in immersive media.
As an avid gamer, I have always wondered what it would be like to make my own games. I enjoyed playing open world games, exploring every corner of the vast game worlds while enjoying the creative game mechanics that the game had to offer. I was inspired by the potential of a game's potential to give someone an out of this world immersive experience. This motivated me to enroll in a diploma in immersive media to pursue a career in game design.
I've been passionate about art since I was young, but I hardly gave any thought to what I wanted to do for my career when I grow up and had no prior knowledge of the rapidly developing gaming industry at that time. Immersive Media, a course I took after entering polytechnic, exposed me to game-related software skills that helped me develop new skills I had never known existed. This piqued my interest and made me want to pursue a career in the game industry!
It was when I was in 15 years old when I found out that the rigidness of studying sciences and maths did not work for me. Aside from that, I found myself drawing a lot more in my free time and watching a lot of movies and music videos and watching movie and animation behind the scenes videos to see how everything comes together. Hence, this led me to choose an animation course in my college years to make sure that I am doing what I actually enjoy.
