Round of applause for our sponsors

I was always interested in video games and cartoons as a kid, like many artists-- I started off with just drawing characters from my favorite games and anime, but eventually started drawing my own characters and kind of fell in love with this weird, treacherous path in life.

I wanted to take part in the creative and entertainment industry ever since I was a kid. However due to certain circumstances, my approach to entering the industry was through other means, such as coding, which I eventually realized was the wrong direction I wanted to go in my life. Since loved drawing as well as many types of storytelling, I discovered when I was around 17 years old that I really wanted to tell stories through my artworks to everyone around the world.

I've always wanted to work as an artist in some form or another, even as a kid. I remember growing up and getting lost in video games and movies, wondering how they were made and poring over concept art. Now I spend most of my time creating my own concepts and making my own games, as well as doing independent work in comics.

I was the type of kid that never went outside. Animation brought me so much enjoyment. Especially shows like Ed Eddn Eddy.

I was 6 watching Ed Edd Eddy and realize I wanted to tell stories too.

Two years ago, I realized I'm interested in this industry when I was in the Motion Graphics class which is taught by Kiel Mutschelknaus. It excites me when I see everything I designed begin to move, tells stories, and engages with viewers. Motion is overwhelmingly powerful.

I first realized I wanted to become a 3D artist in 2014 when I just learned how to use Sketchup in highschool. It was exciting to design something new, with each lesson I wanted to go beyond what the teacher could demonstrate. During that summer I spent hours in Youtube learning how to model and create realistic renders in Blender and Photoshop mostly focusing on architectural renders.

Sophmore year of college on the first day of my Intro to 3D class.
