Back in high school I always enjoyed doing little stick figure animations and stop motion videos, and I thought it would be great to be able to make a living out of something like that. So I started studying an Animation and VFX degree, and that's where I fell in love with 3D and realized I'd always had a hidden passion for cinema and visual effects.

When I was a child and I saw the first 3D animation movie.

For the past five years, I have been learning and experimenting with all aspects of CG production. Before I graduated from ESCOLA JOSO, I finished my Animation & VFX degree at La Salle URL. At La Salle, I had the chance to work on a short film, a very fulfilling experience. Which led me to realize I wanted visual development to be my specialty.

I realised around 5 years ago

I always had a strong interest in cinema and art, so animation was a perfect combination of both!

Since I was little I've enjoyed learning drawing, graphic design and filmmaking. But it wasn't until I realized 3D was a thing in high school that I became obsessed with the God-like creative control this art medium offers. An undoable switch was made in my mind and here we are :) .

I used to film and edit videos of my friends and me for fun, but at a slow pace I realised what was hidden behind the movies and series which I liked so much...

The moment I recognized the boundless potential of merging technology with creativity, my path became a journey of endless innovation.

When I was little, I always left the cinema astonished by all the VFX and beautiful movies I watched. Since I enrolled at my University, I started to study until I became a Lighting & Compositing artist, comfortable with the use of Maya/Arnold, Photoshop, Nuke and more! I’m a videogame enthusiast as well with a huge eagerness to keep learning, and use that knowledge to create extraordinary new content and unique experiences for the new generations to come.

Learning and experimenting .

When I first saw "Toy Story".

I remember one day when I was a child telling my mother that when I grew up I would like to be the designer of the monsters on films, but at that time I didn't even know that this was possible or what path I had to follow to do it, so I abandoned the idea. But many years later, a little lost after finishing the bachelor of arts, looking for a university career to study, I found one of animation and vfx and I had no doubt that it was wath I wanted to do.

Just before starting my journey through the university. My first impression was to learn more about the 3d industry, in wich i was extremely curious. Currently im doing my second year and my point of view has detected the themes which im keen on: Concept Art and 3D modeling. By constant practice i hope to be able to be prepared for the entertainment industry.

Hi, I am a VFX artist currently living in Barcelona. My skillset is focused on Texturing, Look Development and Modeling. I also have skills on 3D Animation and Lighting. Softwares: Maya, Zbrush, Mari, Substance Painter, Marvelous Designer, Nuke, Photoshop, Arnold.

Five years ago, I realised that I could work on this industry in a dreamed job as a concept artist.

Let me talk a little bit about me… My name is Marc Martin, I am currently living in Spain, Barcelona studying 3D, but previously I collaborated in different projects with Wacom and Action-Reaction Games. I have experience with organic and inorganic modeling. I can work with Maya, ZBrush and Photoshop, but also I have working knowledge with Premier, Marvelous and Substance Painter.

When I realised that the hard work that I passionately do every day would afterwards be rewarded by watching a film or series in which I took part, I knew I was on the correct path.

I have always liked digital art and 3D movies, but when I tried it for the first time in school, I became fascinated by it.

I have always liked watching films and drawing, and coming from a very scientific-driven family, it helped me escape into my own worlds. As I grew up I realised I liked it so much I saw myself dedicating myself to the craft, and decided to pursue a career in concept art and 3D art.

For all my life watching films and TV shows has been my passion, and I always knew I wanted to work in something related to this industry. When I had to decide what to study I realised that the VFX was the part of the process that attracted to me the most, and there were some films that impacted me a lot, like Interestellar or The Lord of the Rings trilogy, so I decided to study 3D animation & VFX. After starting to study, I realised I had made the right choice, as I really liked it.

When I realized that the fantasy-like scenarios i made up in my mind are more complicated than string theory

growing up watching the disney and dreamworks movies i wanted to make movies that made people feel what it made me feel.

When I started to think about what I wanted to do, I asked myself "What would I want to do with my entire life?" And that was when I did not hesitate to think "My industry couldn't be other than the audiovisual industry!" It was then when my curiosity and love for the entertainment industry exploded in me, someone who live through reading and watching series or movies to be happy, I couldn't be more in love with behind the scenes and all the content about this world.
