Round of applause for our sponsors

I started doing industrial 3D in high school, I liked 3D but I didn't like the industrial side. So I started 3D on Maya and really liked it.

I had the desire to learn 3D during a project with friends in high school, then from there, I really liked to make 3D, it became my passion.

I have always loved movies and games, but I never really thought about working in that kind of industry, it just seemed unreal and, with me living in Mexico, impossible. When I was in highschool, I loved design and I was jus starting to learn about programming and 3d modeling, so my dad suggested me to study digital animation as a career and so I did. After that, I discovered my love for the VFX industry and knew that I wanted to work in it and that it was not as unrealistic as I thought.

Although I come from a family of doctors, I've always been drawn to the arts, storytelling, and especially drawing. When I was eleven, my parents got me a Shonen Jump magazine, and I remember fondly how awesome it was to convey a story through drawings and pictures. Filling up notebooks with my own comics and creating my own charcters was how I spent my time in middle and highschool. I even began to learn digital animation on MS Paint and Windows Movie Maker, all drawn with my trusty mouse!

I realised it when i was a little kid while i was watching an episode of " El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera". After years of not knowing if i should follow my passion, i entered a university and i did.

I always loved art, animation movies, and all the effects the movies had. But I never knew that there was a whole industry dedicated to it. almost all of my life, the decision was to become and engineer, but never knew the exact field until one day, out of curiosity, the idea of an Engineering in Animation came to my mind (I actually doubted it even existed, and boy was i wrong!) after that day my mind was blown up several times by the things needed, and the tools and the possibilities.

Back when I was in middle school, I used to play video games and decided to try and learn on my own how they work, the code, 3D modeling and animating ect... I decided to follow that path in my studies in the video game world, but also the musical world.

Since I was a child, I have always loved to create and I wanted to be able to live with that. To live with my passion and love what I do.

Before studying at colleague. After playing various games and realizing working in the creative industry could be a real possibility. I decided to use my talent

Since I was a child. I always knew I wanted to create games, but didn't know how or in which department. I learnt about 3ds Max in 2016 and started learning it in 2017. I got my first job in the 3D industry in 2018. Afterwards, I worked on my portfolio to land some Freelance contracts before starting my in-studio journey in 2021 at Big Bad Wolf studio.

When I was 16, I first started to go around youtube to watch how some of the films where made. I saw a tutorial on how to make a simple superman fly jump, worked on it in After Effects 2014 and I completed the tutorial, the result was the same as the tutorial and I that moment I realized I wanted to work on movies or any kind of digital entertainment. I then learned 3D and have been learning a lot in school but mostly by myself. Creating digital art is my passion.

When i was in Highschool, i used to play a lot of videogames, but we got a class for modelling and then i realize i wanted to do that for a living.

Art has always been the core for me, being something that has always played a large role in my life. When graduating high school it seemed like a no brainer that the next step was to attend art school and hone skills that I had been developing my whole life. To have the ability to turn my passion into something that would bring me both joy and work in the future is truly amazing.

I realized it when I was around 13 years old. I was really into comic books and decided to be an artist. My drawing weren't that good, but I got into filmmaking, and now I work as a cinematographer and music video director.

I’m a student attending the American Academy of Art College working towards my BFA in Illustration. Specializing in digital illustration and concept art, I aim to tell narratives through a visual medium and provide solutions to creative problems.

When I played Super Smash Bros. Brawl and discovered the industry, I thought it was very cool to be able to make games and have an interesting job where learning never ends.

I knew for sure starting highschool, art has always been a passion of mine since elementary school but I was hesitant on committing to art because of the stereotypes and common misconceptions.

I always knew that I want to work in the video game industry. But in my first year of study, I choose to focus on creative and artistic jobs.

During my first exposure to the world of digital art back in 2004

Since I was a little boy.

Ever since I started playing video games ans started to enjoy graphisms. But above all the design of the characters

I play a lot of videogames. Always have. When I was 7 years old, not only did I draw silly monsters and characters, I also enjoyed drawing platforms, mazes and puzzles. For me, everything I drew was meant to be played at some point - explored with a character with a sword in its hand and a lantern in the other. It took me a while, but now that I have finished high school I'm determined to do good on my promises and learn all there is to know about bringing those drawings to life.
