I realized I wanted to work in the games industry since I was about 13 years old. Not long after realizing I have a talent and loved drawing I knew I could put that skill to use and create games that people will enjoy just like I still enjoy them today. It was only after my first year of Uni that i realized I wanted to focus on 3D environment as my profession.

I've always had an interest in the visual arts, but was first introduced to the option of working as an artist in the entertainment industry during my A-level years when I first discovered concept artists and their work online which inspired me then and there and set me on the path I'm currently on to become a professional concept artist.

I realised when i was 17 and wanted to do more fantasy, sci-fi art but using digital art. I came across game art when researching university degrees and knew this is the path I wanted to go down. Games like WoW, Assassin's creed, Hellblade etc. really influenced me into wantintg to create an environment where dreams and reality merge into something that all can enjoy.

As a child I always loved video games and drawing/art. During my Highschool/Collage back in my country we could choose a path that then would lead into univesrsity and I chose Arts. This was joining two of my biggest passions so it seemed like the perfect career for me and it was! This last couple of years were amazing and I remember that coming to university was not something that I just had to do anymore. It was something I did out of pleasure and enjoyment.

I have always been passionate about drawing characters and when I was younger, I have often wondered if there is a job where you could just create characters all day. Later, I discovered the role of a character artist in games and instantly knew that this is the path for me. Since then, I have fallen in love with 3D character creation and I have been working hard to develop my skills and create realistic characters suitable for video games.

As a young child like many others, I loved playing video games and there art work in particular. But it wasn't till I finished school that I began to consider it as a viable careers path, and so I joined a media collage to study Game art and I haven't looked back since. Being surrounded by like minded and passionate people like me for the first time in a learning environment, was the ultimate dream for me and I quickly began my journey to becoming a professional game artist.

As a kid I've always wanted to work in the creative field. It wasn't until my teens when I started gaining rapid interest in the development of Games, playing a variety of games from AAA to Indie Studios. After starting College I studied Games Development, which looked at both the technical and artistic side of Games. It was then I found a love for creating worlds that players can explore and get immersed in. Finalising my decision, I attended University at DMU to become an Environment Artist.

After a last minute decision to not go to uni for psychology and instead return to college and enrol in a graphic design course. From there, I learned about Game Art which inspired my uni direction and career trajectory

I first realised I wanted to work in creative industries really when I felt my art was steadily reaching a point where I actually felt happy about it. Steadily improving everyday, I feel more and more like I have the confidence built up to put my art out there, and that it's of an ever-evolving quality. The thought of collaborating with a group of other artists, having a variety of projects to work on, and being able to explore so many avenues of creation is what excites me so much.

A long time ago when I was a kid, I just became obsessed with drawing everything and was exploring, I started drawing my own video game on paper, I didn't know that such a job existed and I even couldn't get how the games are created in real life. Growing up, I knew, that I want to associate my life with something new and creative. That was the point when I found about game art courses and started my journey.

I have always enjoyed designing products that make a positive impact to the world around me.

I remember, many years ago now, I entered a "scarecrow design competition" in the later years of primary school. Little me spent a long time perfecting small details and creating its colour scheme. When I won the competition I couldn't believe mine had been chosen out of everyone in the school -sounds cliche, but this is when I knew. Since then, 12 years later, I still get the same feeling when my designs are successful. And I love it!

From an early stage in my life, I knew I wanted to work creatively and that is something that has reflected a major part of my life. After more experience, I understood that the fashion industry can be problematic from an ethical and sustainable point of view and that's when I started interested in digital fashion.

I have always found myself indulging in video games and online media my whole life, and once I got to meet some Game Artists at a University fair it was a no-brainer from that point on.

I realized this when I figured out how much games had helped me develop, both in myself, and my social skills. They helped me during tough times, and I want to help others in that way

At 25 I was working in the healthcare industry, realising that this wasn't the career I was passionate about, I really want to work in an industry where I could be creative. I discovered Game Art was available as a university course, and have been working hard to graduate and find a job I'm passionate about :)

I first realised that I wanted to be a footwear designer when I went to tour the university and stumbled into the footwear design studio. I originally wanted to take part in another course but after 10 minutes of chatting and looking around I was set on being a footwear designer. Three years later I’ve never looked back.

Since age 6, my fascination with computers and video games began when my father brought home a C64. Gaming became a constant in my life. Although obstacles hindered my dream of creating games, my journey remained parallel with gaming. From being an IT tech to running a videogame store and founding an indie studio with a small game on Steam, my passion persisted. Now, after a fresh start by enrolling in university, graduated in 2023 I'm determined to pursue my goals more than ever.

Ever since I had the first xbox back in 2005 where I played crash bandicoot and Sparta total warrior , I was four.

I knew once I finished my Game Design studies in college that I wanted to pursue art rather than gameplay for university. Not coming from an initial art background was tough but self-teaching myself made me able to get into my top university choice. I now have plenty experience in 3DSMax, Substance Painter/Designer and Unreal Engine to bring my worlds to life.
